Ways You Can Contribute to Veterans & Community

The VFW was founded for one, single purpose: to assure those who’ve protected our country are protected in return. This protection comes in the form of programs, standing up for veterans rights in Washington, D.C., and reaching out with help in communities across America. The hard truth is, the VFW and Post 1263 in Renton, Wash., cannot do this without your support.

The Buddy Poppy Program

Among all the flowers that evoke the memories and emotions of war is the red poppy. Since 1924, VFW Buddy Poppies have been assembled by disabled and needy veterans in VA hospitals. The Buddy Poppy program assists in maintaining state and national rehabilitation and service programs for veterans.

Post 1263 is able to continue operating its many veteran and community programs through your support and generosity. The Buddy Poppy Program is one way our Post keeps veteran's needs visible in our local community, supports local community programs and assists veterans locally and nationally. Please consider supporting our veterans with your contributions when you see VFW members distributing Buddy Poppies in our local community.

Planned Giving Through The Veterans of Foreign Wars

Your contribution to the VFW shows you care about our country’s defenders. With your generosity, struggling veterans can:•

  • Fight for their hard-earned VA benefits.
  • Get justice on Capitol Hill
  • Make it through tough times with emergency financial assistance
  • Connect with educational opportunities

Your tax-deductible donation is the reason the VFW can keep its promise to always be there for the selfless men and women who answer our nation’s call to duty. Thank you for honoring the sacrifice of America’s veterans, service members and military families.
